Boy Scouts of America

A Safe Fun PLace to Learn, Explore and Grow

Wednesdays | 7:00 - 8:30 pm | in the Parish Hall

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. We strive to do this in an environment of fun and outdoor adventure while exposing them to a broad range of activities. Membership is open to all boys ages 11-17.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Oath

“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”

Boy Scout Troop 608 participates in monthly activities which include canoeing trips, camping, boating, water skiing, etc. as well as activity based weekly meetings that include merit badge instruction, outdoor skills building and emphasize team spirit and recognition of the boys' accomplishments.

If you have a son interested in joining Boy Scout Troop 608, or you would like to volunteer (parents are especially encouraged to volunteer), please contact Sheila McGuire online here.  All adult volunteers must be or become compliant with the Diocese of Arlington Child Protection Policy, to include a background check and Virtus seminar.
